Locating The Foundation Wall
Corners
Use a plumb bob and
batter board
string lines to locate all of the
corners of the external foundation wall. Snap chalk lines between each
corner on the footing to indicate the outside edge of the foundation
wall. Snap another chalk line from the foundation wall line towards the
external edge of the footing a distance equal to the thickness (or
depth) of the form board plywood .
