Erecting And Aligning Interior Wall Forms
Erect the interior wall
form corner
panels, insert the ties and thread
pieces of waler bars through the ties. The interior corner panels are
narrower than the exterior panels by a distance equal to the thickness
of the foundation wall. This keeps all vertical joints on the exterior
and interior form panels in align with each other. Erect the remaining
interior wall forms and filler panels and attach the remaining waler
bars. Place the joints midway between ties, and at different locations
on each row. Do not join waler bars at the edge of a form panel.
Attaching Cleats To The Top Of Wall Forms To Hold The Sill Plate
Attach predrilled
cleats, with anchor
bolts, to the top of the form
walls to hold a 38 mm by 89 mm (2 inch by 4 inch) sill plate after the
concrete has set. The
anchor bolt diameter should not be less than 12.7 mm (one-half
inch)
and they are placed no more than 2400 mm (7.87 feet) o.c. apart.
They must be located between the wall studs when they are nailed to the
sill plate.
