Marking Plumb Lines
For Ridge, Birdsmouth And Overhang
Snap a chalkline one
third of the
rafter's width, as shown in figure 37.
Mark three points on
the chalkline i.e one point on each end of the rafter line length and
one point at the end of the overhang. Slide the framing square along
the line to each of these points and mark a plumb line.
