Set the framing square
on the stock
as indicated in Figure 47, and
layout the rise and run along the stringer. The minimum stringer depth
must be 235 mm and the effective depth 90 mm. Make sure the thickness
of one tread is cut off the bottom riser
before the stringer is installed. Figure 47 shows the height of the top
step relative to the finished floor before and after the bottom tread
thickness has been removed.
